Frequently Asked
Questions (FAQs)
Q: Why do I need a domain
name for my webhosting account?
Your
webhosting
account resides
on a server,
together with
other website
owners. The
server is
identified by
means of
Internet
Protocols
(IPs) or
sometimes called
as Internet
Numbers.
Something like
741.258.963.808
can be an
example of an IP
Address. IPs are
hard for you and
your website
visitors to be
remembered,
that's why we
use domain names
for your
webhosting
accounts.
Q: My domain name was
activated today, why can't I see
my site yet?
Once a domain name
registration order has been
activated or approved by
TurfSite Computing, Inc. it
takes around seventy-two (72)
hours for it to fully propagate
in all internet servers.
Registration of a new domain
name or changes to the DNS
servers for an existing domain
name requires an update to the
information stored in name
servers across the Internet.
This update process is called
propagation & occurs when domain
name servers (DNS) on the
Internet world-wide update their
records (DNS tables) to reflect
any updates to domain names & IP
addresses.
Q: Is it possible for two
(02) domain names to show the
same website?
Yes! It is possible for two
(02) or more domain names to
show the same website. Just make
sure that the domain names point
to the same IP address and the
nameservers are properly pointed
to bangkal.turfsiteph.net
& bicutan.turfsiteph.net.
If you wish for a more detailed
instruction on pointing your
existing domains to a particular
website, please email
[email protected]
Q: Can I just issue a cheque
to pay for my domain and/or
webhosting orders?
Yes! You may deposit a cheque
to any of our bank accounts as
payment for your domain and/or
webhosting orders. However, it
is our company policy that we
wait first for your cheque
payment to be cleared in our
bank before we send you the
activation email.
Q: Why is my webhosting
account suspended?
TurfSite Computing, Inc. will
only suspend webhosting accounts
for any of the following
reasons:
~ The website owner has
atleast two (02) unpaid
invoices.
~ The domain name of the
website has already expired.
Q: I already have a domain
(purchased from another company)
& I was to use it for my
webhosting account with
TurfSitePH. What should I do?
If you already have a domain
name registered from another
webhosting company, just change
its nameservers to
bangkal.turfsiteph.net and
bicutan.turfsiteph.net so
that you may use it for your
webhosting account with
TurfSitePH. For further support,
please email us via
[email protected]
Q: My domain had just
expired. Can I still renew it?
When a domain name expires,
the owner has thirty (30) days to
renew it. Once the thirty (30)
days timeframe lapses, the
domain name will be deleted in
the master registry. If the
owner wish to continue using the
expired domain, we must register
it all over again via
http://domains.turfsiteph.net
